My dog recently qualified as an assistance dog 🐶. I couldn’t be more delighted! He helps me enormously, as I’m a wheelchair user, or at best I use crutches, so having him there to pick things up, open doors, bark for help or bring my mobile to me etc etc, is a tremendous benefit, and makes me feel so secure 👍
Here he is sporting his new jacket…
He’s a great ice-breaker too. Being in a wheelchair, means I’m often ignored, but having Rolo means lots of people stop to chat 😉. It’s great!
Rolo helps at home too. Here’s a picture of him emptying my washing machine…
I definitely recommend an assistance dog if you’re in a similar position. It really does make a huge difference!
If you’d like to follow Rolo and I as we journey into the world as a team, check out my blog at http://www.rolostravels.wordpress.com

Sadie & Karen held a ‘guess the sex’ competition on their Facebook Page – ‘Mum’s Club’ – a fab idea!
They raised a superb £36 💷!!!
Tommy, Sadie’s son was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Still’s Disease, aged 18 months 😔
He’s doing really well on his medications at the moment, lets hope he continues to do so. Our love to Tommy 💞 and our huge gratitude to Sadie & Karen for the brilliant fundraising 👍
Here’s a lovely picture of Tommy now at home, looking much happier 😄
The ‘Golden Oldies’ – Sylvia & Carole – ran a bag sale at Cafe etc in Parbold yesterday (18th June), and donated all their profits to Still’s R Us!!!
My boys and I called in to lend our support, and bought a couple of bags too – well we just had to support the cause 😉
They worked tirelessly from 9.30am until 6pm!!! And managed to raise a total of £42 💷!!
A huge thanks to Sylvia and Carole 👍👍👍
One of the difficulties of running a non-profit when you are chronically sick is keeping on top of everything! Unfortunately it’s been pretty quiet around here recently, due to ill health 😔. But it’s now time to start preparing for our second Still’s Disease Awareness Month!!! August 2013…
It might seem a long way off, but there is lots to organise, so us Stilligans have to start early to be able to arrange it all 😉.
So calling on all Stilligans!!! It’s time for you to join in!
Send us your pictures – anything goes – swollen joints, rashes, living aids, operations, infusions, Meds… Help us to show the world what having Still’s actually means!
You can send your pictures to Sue at email@example.com, or feel free to post them onto our Facebook pages or in the groups or event pages.
Thanks in advance for getting involved 😉. Every little helps!
